📜 Proposed DART K-12 Pilot Program Details

Details come from a proposal written by Jon-Bertrell Killen, DART Board Member and DART Budget Committee Chair. Precise program details are subject to change.

A 6-month pilot program allowing all North Texas students to ride DART services free of charge. This includes buses, light rail trains, and paratransit.
Students 12 years of age and older must show a Student ID.
Students under 12 years of age must be accompanied by a guardian.
This pilot proposal is based on K-12 free fare programs at transit agencies in [Austin](https://www.capmetro.org/news/details/2020/05/11/free-fares-for-k-12-students-now-permanent#:~:text=AUSTIN%2C Texas - CapMetro's board of,feedback from children and parents.), Los Angeles, Washington D.C., and Seattle.
